Djoumessi was exposed to a musical environment from early childhood. As a juvenile in New Horizon primary school, she already had access to the choir. There she learned to play local musical instruments like shakers, hollows, gongs, xylophones, and others. In addition, the school provided them with music lessons every Wednesday evening where she learned the basics of music theory and practice, as well as the piano and keyboard. This fuelled her passion for music.
Djoumessi started attempting to write songs at the age of 12. Her vocal quality stood out in the secondary school choir where she began to gain chorale experience. In the meantime, she wrote a couple of songs, which are preserved in her manuscripts. However, her family had more focus on her ambitions and aptitude in the medical field. Nevertheless, her music dreams could not die.
This dream survived the period of studies at the University of Buea. It was kept alive by exposure to a music studio, and to the amazing vocal training courses at M1 Studio under Pastor Rochie Osvalin. During that time, Djoumessi recorded songs like DANCER, BAMI, RESEAUX, and HIT LOVE.
